Illiterate in Estonian mythology
It's not that I want to make advertising for the new mobile service operator in Estonia branded zorro. But I have a question, not about the operator, but about their logo.
I am not very educated in Estonian mythology although after reading my first Estonian fiction I have some idea what is kratt, vanapagan and nõid. The book did not mention zorro. Probably I'm at wrong age to get it, taking into account all the pictures of soft and very soft toys all around their website. And maybe I have just the stereotype settled too deep into my brain that zorro is smth like this or at least like cat from Shrek 2. Whatever it is, I do not get it.
So can anybody explain to me how this very-much-alike-to-cow creature is related to name zorro?

To the best of my understanding it actually is a cow on their logo. But the company is more messed up with their whole approach. Hailed as the "first Estonian (capital) mobile operator" they adopt "Zorro" (obviously not a very typical Estonian male name) as their Brand and a cow as they logo. Plus the plush toys on their website. Maybe their CEO or shareholders had some serious problems in their childhood.
Yeah, indeed Zorro was not a pig.
I guess the company might be using a moto like this:
"Break the system"
or
"Break the stereotype"
The thing is that they don't. They don't use such motto. Instead they call themselves "first peoples mobile" or "first national mobile", depends how you translate. That's why I started to look to mythology for explanation :)), but nothing is there.
I guess Siim is right that they are quite messy, at least for the beginning.
And manager in interview announced that company cannot focus on several things, but only one. So they will focus on customer, and will not look what competitors are doing. The only thing what comes to my mind after some education in economics and business (but I think that's even not necessary here, common sense is enough) is: oh, boy....
unrelated to estonian mythology, 'zorro' in spanish is fox. so perhaps the logo depicts some specific estonian kind of fox. :)
offtopic: i'm glad i met Eva in Riga yesterday (awaiting next post on Riga visit) and she told me anonymous comments are now accepted.

Dear Eva,
Please write something.
Iam getting slightly bored by reading the same old stuff over and over again.
Just look who is saying that! :)))))
