4512 km
This is my terrible score for the Europe geography game Kaido proposed. The closest I could get to somewhere was 23 km for Athens. The game is, however, nice refreshment of geographical skills in Sunday morning.
The conlusion is that travelling is better than looking at maps and trying to memorize them: naturally the closest targeting was for the places where I have been.
And what's your score?

nice vizualization. my score is 3379. largest 'gaps' are Ankara, Belgrad and Moskau, where i expected Belgrad to be in another country. :) moreover, 23km is what you get even if you show it exactly where the other dot appears, so to say - measurement error. i got 23 for helsinki, 24 for stockholm, 25 for london, 35 for athen, 36 for bern, 40 for brussel, 68 for oslo and 80 for copenhagen (where i misread the map, its too simplified). so these are for the ones i as if 'knew'. however, that should give about 400-600 in total error. has someone perfomed better?

repeated game gave 1962, and i succeeded to hit as close as 9 for kopenhagen, 11 for bukarest and 17 for dublin. so - sometimes the measurement precision creates a positive bias for the result. :)

It's true that there is some measurement error, but I got as close as 4km to Rome in repeated game.
In first time my biggest misses where quite funny ones: Bern was supposed to be somewhere in Belgium and I mixed Hungary and Romania: I placed very nicely Budapest where it should be, but only in different country - Romania :).
Besides, error depends also on size of country: if one knows that Brussels is in Belgium, it's hard to miss by more than 100 km, but for Moscow I missed 250km easily although I kind of knew where it is.
So, any other results still...?
My recordresult is 4525!!!
I was veeery bad about central europe.
Did best on Den Haag since it is about 50km from my current home. And Kiev, somewhy. Onluy 20km away.
